Blue & Green
Blue and green are my favorite colors. When I’m in the mountains, I get to be surrounded by both… It feeds me deeply.
Deep Breath
It’s been so busy. Plus, the demolition of the hospital building on the next block has been annoyingly noisy for the last month or so. I took a breath and heard the trees and birds in the woods.
Lupines in the Mountains
We’re on our way to our much needed vacation…. But wait before we hit the road, we had to stop in our mountains for laundry. It’s Summer Solstice today, which means it’s officially summer now. Yet our mountains are still looking like spring. I have never seen so many lupines blooming in our area all these years. It’s going to be nice and mild summer up here.
Meadows
It’s finally warmed up even here in the mountains. We took a light hike through the woods and got to the open meadow looking at the peak of Mt. Pinos where you can see some patches of snow still on the ground. How refreshing it is to sit there and soak up the energy from Mother Earth…..
Convalescing in the Mountains
I went up to the mountains last Saturday for the weekend and woke up feeling sick on Sunday. What better place is there to be sick surrounded by pine trees, lots of birds, and blue sky?! Well, Monday morning I woke up to this snow wonderland! The drizzle that started Sunday afternoon turned to snow at night and left about 6 inches of the wet white blanket all around. During the course of the day on Monday, most of the snow melted away, but my flu bug hung around for another three days…. I’m finally back in the city and at my desk on Friday afternoon. I must say I’m lucky that I got to convalesce in fresh and clean air at 5500 feet high under the piercingly blue sky — yes, I did soak some healing energy of the sun on my deck everyday.
Forest
I have to go into the woods every once in a while to connect with the Source. When I get really quiet surrounded by big trees, I can almost hear them saying, “We got you…” So I go on with my day trusting.
Quiet
I’m having a very quiet Sunday up in the mountains. As I walk around the area, I see new buds are filling up almost ready to burst open. I can’t wait to see some new greens and blossoms around.
Pine Mountain Club
Our weekend getaway in Pine Mountain Club… We hiked in the snow covered trail today for three hours.. It’s exhilerating!
Our House
We are at our house up in the mountains this weekend. A good 6-inches of snow from last few storms are still on the ground. It’s crisp outside and the air is so delicious….
